Community Involvement

Kim actively engages in the Oakland community, demonstrating her commitment to fostering positive connections. Together with her husband, she warmly welcomes organizes monthly community events held at their home, averaging around 10 gatherings annually. Additionally, they collaborate with various initiatives focused on community and youth development for Black and Brown youth, facilitating another dozen events. These endeavors aim to empower individuals from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring they have equal access to opportunities that others enjoy. By prioritizing inclusivity and bridging gaps, Kim strives to create a more equitable and vibrant community for all.
